A set of meaningful numbers led a Missouri Lottery player to a $126,000 Show Me Cash jackpot in the Aug. 27 drawing.  

The winner purchased the winning ticket at Shell Food Mart, 3308 E. 32nd St. in Joplin, and later explained how she chose the numbers while claiming her prize at the Lottery’s Springfield regional office.    

“They all mean something to me,” she said. “They’re kind of like spiritual numbers.”  

The number combination – 5, 7, 15, 17 and 31 – led her to match all five of her numbers to the winning numbers drawn that night.

“I was speechless! I was thankful!” she said of the win. “It’s just been a blessing!” 

Show Me Cash is drawn daily at 8:59 p.m., with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until won. Tonight’s jackpot is estimated at $498,000.

Players who purchased tickets in Jackson County in FY24 won more than $109.8 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $9.8 million in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $22 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
