A Missouri Lottery player confessed she nearly lost the winning ticket holding a $110,000 Show Me Cash jackpot prize from the Aug. 20 drawing.  

“I was in my car and I was reaching down between my seats when I found it,” the winner said, after claiming her prize at the Lottery’s St. Louis regional office several weeks later. “It was dated Aug. 20, so I took it in to check it.”

“I took it up to the counter and had them check it for me, and the clerk tells me I won $111,000!” she said. “I told him to stop playing!” 

After double-checking her winning numbers – 2, 7, 15, 31 and 36 – she realized she had, in fact, matched all five numbers drawn that evening. 

“That was a shock. I hardly ever play, except around the holidays,” she shared. “But I just decided that I would that day.”

Show Me Cash is drawn daily at 8:59 p.m., with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until won. Tonight’s jackpot is estimated at $61,000.

Players who purchased tickets in St. Louis County in FY24 won more than $200.8 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $19.4 million in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $161.2 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
