While checking his tickets, a Missouri Lottery Player was shocked to discover he had won a $103,000 Show Me Cash jackpot in the Oct. 5 drawing. He purchased the winning ticket at Casey’s, 6316 N. State Route 9, in Parkville. The winning numbers for the Oct. 5 drawing were 8, 16, 25, 28 and 35.

“I scanned my ticket in the store, then I asked the clerk to print out the winning numbers,” he explained. “ I took the slip of paper and sat in my truck verifying the numbers for at least 10 minutes.”

He teased he then had to wait for his heart to stop racing before driving home and telling his wife.   

Show Me Cash drawings are held daily at 8:59 p.m., with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until won. Tonight’s jackpot is estimated at $176,000. 

In FY25, players in Platte County won more than $12.5 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $1.2 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $8.4 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
