A $167,000 Show Me Cash jackpot prize has been claimed by a Buchanan County Missouri Lottery player . The winning ticket purchased at Hy-Vee Gas, 205 N. Belt Highway in St. Joseph, matched all five numbers drawn in the Sept. 30 drawing. The winning numbers that night were 10, 13, 22, 23 and 24.

 
As the winner scanned his ticket at the store, he noticed the screen showed a ‘Contact Missouri Lottery Office’ message. Thinking the machine was perhaps not working properly, he asked the clerk to print out the winning numbers. 

“She told me that I won something big, but I really didn’t know what I had won,” he chuckled. “ She was really helpful, so after claiming my prize, I went back and gave her $500.”

So far this year, Show Me Cash players have won 31 jackpot prizes, totaling more than $6 million.  The daily Draw Game features jackpots starting at $50,000. Tonight’s jackpot is estimated at $194,000. 

 In FY25, players in Buchanan County won more than $14.9 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $1.4 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $5.1 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
