A $50,000 Powerball Prize from the Oct. 8 drawing has been claimed by a Missouri Lottery player in Clay County. The winning ticket – which was purchased at Sunny’s, 1102 S. Highway 169 in Smithville – matched four of the white-ball numbers drawn, as well as the Powerball number. 

The winning numbers that night were 8, 10, 44, 48 and 54 with a Powerball number of 14. 

Powerball is a multi-state Draw Game with drawings held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. Monday’s drawing now has an estimated jackpot of $358 million. 

In FY25, players in Clay County won more than $39.3 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $2.9 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $17.2 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
